- Delete *.crash and *.log (no harm)

Thanks for the reponse but .crash and .log files are only KB files, did not do much
ā04-22-2024 10:56 PM
- Content of tracelogs directory can be deleted too ,

āāIn show file systems i have this allocation for bootflash: 545398784
dir bootflash: has only 53477376 as the largest file, any idea where's the rest of the space?
ā04-22-2024 11:31 PM
>....53477376 (largest file)
- What is the name of this largest file (can't immediately find it)
M.
ā04-22-2024 11:32 PM
filename is .USWAP.img
ā04-22-2024 11:47 PM
>...filename is .USWAP.img
- Ok that one must stay ; I also noted an ap_images: directory , note that the EWC AP must make client ap images available using a tftp server as a 'relay' and not maintaining the images by itself. If there is anything in there , then remove it all ,
M.
ā04-22-2024 11:57 PM
nothing's in there as well
ā04-23-2024 01:11 AM
- Well for the time being I can only advise to do a reboot too (if there has been a long uptime for instance) ; which can sometimes include cleanup actions on the bootflash. Otherwise involve TAC , or others may bump in ,

@marce1000 thank you for your assistance. I had rebooted the AP that was acting as controller but same problem. For now, I have switched the other AP as the controller. Will check further that one device.

- Ok, you may for instance factory reset it and re-install ,
M.
ā04-22-2024 11:24 PM
- Check if you have older software versions on it (such as binaries) and delete them too , and or anything with *log* in it ,

Also delete anything in core directory.
And do "install remove inactive" - unlikely to find anything else but worth doing to be sure.
EWC is inherently limited because it's just an AP not a proper WLC.
You didn't mention what version you're running and what version it was upgraded from?
If you didn't follow the recommended upgrade path then the flash partition may be smaller than it should be.
eg: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/9800/17-9/release-notes/rn-17-9-9800.html#Cisco_Concept.dita_59a2987f-2633-4630-8c7b-a8e8aecdeaf7
And like @marce1000 says, if all else fails do a factory default reset and then restore your config (or simply sync from the other AP). Flash running out is a common "feature" of Mobility Express (the previous incarnation for Wave 2 APs) and EWC and probably one of the reasons Cisco has abandoned it on the latest models of APs.
