Hi @rayyaanfayker0006

All cisco Access Point can work in standalone with the right IOS. Just make sure this AP you have is not running capwap firmware, it does, you need to convert to standalone.

  - There is no concept of 'classic standalone' for those models but they can run in Embedded Wireless Controller (EWC) software  , then the AP becomes a  (small) controller for other APs , including itself , so being 'alone' in this mode it also provides access point servicing ,

thanks for the feedback, it seems that the images are no longer under the AP itself rather under EWC section.

Sorry @rayyaanfayker0006 , did you mean on the cisco site ?  On the site you need to look for 9124AXI

Regarding Flavio's earlier statement "All cisco Access Point can work in standalone with the right IOS.":
Actually not true anymore.  The newer AP models DO NOT support any standalone mode except for site-survey mode which (as the name suggests) is purely for conducting site surveys with "AP on a stick".

You can see which APs do support EWC in the release notes:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/catalyst-9100ax-access-points/nb-06-802-11ax-faq-cte-en.html

Q.  What are the options for site survey for Cisco Catalyst 9100 deployment?
A.  Customers can choose third-party planning and site survey tools for initial deployments. In addition, Cisco Catalyst 9100 Access Points are capable of running the Catalyst 9800 as a virtual wireless controller function embedded on the access point. Embedded Wireless Controller is not an available option for Catalyst 9136, 9162, 9164 and 9166 Access Points; Cisco provides Site Survey mode for the Wi-Fi 6E APs.
