Hello,
We have Catalyst 9100AX series APs. We want to convert one of them to EWC. We tried to factoy reset both however after the reset they are still act like CAPWAP and stuck at CAPWAP States.
P.S. We have WLCs in our network but we isolated the VLAN that APs connected from the internal network.

Hello balaji,

if you reset factory and device isolated and connected only to PC console cable you should be able to get to prompt, if this is connect VLAN and it try to get DHCP and may be trying different option.
connect console and remove all Lan cables and post complete boot logs here.

By the way, APs connected to the a HPE switch. Should it be a catalyst switch?

Doesn't matter , note that the whole conversion procedure must be executed from or on the AP-console ,

- Did you execute the full AP reset procedure as mentioned in https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/embedded-wireless-controller-on-catalyst-access-points/215303-embedded-wireless-controller-conversion.html#toc-hId--402670393

Yes, I did and stuck at this step because after 20 sec press, there was no login prompt but only CAPWAP logs that I sent already.
"The console session writes out how long the Mode/Reset button has been pressed for. At least 20 seconds are required for a full restart. The AP boots up and the default credentials Cisco/Cisco can be used to log in the CLI (the web interface credentials are webui/Cisco)."

- Try pressing the Reset button longer , 30secs or more (e.g.)

Hello marce, I tried and it is the same, booting process stuck at CAPWAP states like I mentioned on the post.

- Scrutinize the reset procedure according to https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/access_point/9105ax/quick/guide/ap9105axi-getstart.html#pgfId-121922
, also you need to follow up on outputs on console to comply ,
