I connected a few 1562's to a 5508 WLC. I planned on placing them in Flex+Bridge mode, but this option was not available. I'm assuming that either the 5508 is too old or the 1562's are not capable of Flex+Bridge mode(not likely).
Is there a minimum version requirement needed in order to enable the Flex+Bridge mode drop down option on a 1562 AP and 5508 WLC. Currently they are running the following version:
8.5.161.0
Any help would be appreciated.

They are capable of flex+bridge but the support for it was only introduced in a more recent version of AireOS which I don't think you can use on 5508. We're using it on 8.10.162.0.
Limitation for 8.5 documented at https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/release/notes/crn85mr5.html#ap-1560-mesh
Feature supported from 8.8.100.0 https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/release/notes/crn88.html#wave-2-ap-features

It seems it does not support with 1560. I did not find any doc but I just look at the network I have and it does not show the option. I does support for the model 1570.

Flavio,
Thank you for the response. I have also used flex+bridge mode with the 1572 APs in the past (although it was with a 3504 WLC). Since the 1562's are the replacements for the 1572s I assumed they had the same capability.

8.5 supports Flex+Bridge mode. But what mode the AP is set currently? If bridge did you restart the AP after changing the mode?

The 1562 APs are in Bridge mode. Yes the APs have been restarted several times as I changed modes and between RAP/MAP settings.
I am looking for documentation that states the 1560's are not capable of Flex+Bridge mode or a spreadsheet that lists what modes are available on current Cisco WAPs. This information is difficult to find.
