I have seen this issue in many versions on 9800s now. For some reason, when trying to apply Tags to APs by assigning them to a Location through the Web interface you always receive an error stating that the RF Policies should be different for the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands. The WLC does not allow you to assign a 2.4Ghz policy to the 5Ghz band and vice versa, so I don't have the same policies applied to both bands. However, the WLC always presents this error when trying to assign APs to locations through the GUI. The only workaround that I have found is to move APs into locations through the CLI.
Does anyone know a fix for this?
Screenshot attached is from a 9120 running EWC code 16.12, but I have seen this on physical and virtual 9800s running 16.x - 17.6 code. (Haven't tested on anything after 17.6)
