Hello, I am trying to figure out how to power this device. I need to use a media converter to allow for 10Gig SFP uplink to 2.5Gig Ethernet port on WAP. The trouble is this newer wireless standard does not currently have any media converters which also support PoE. Therefore, my plan is to use a media converter for the data and a DC Power pack for power. I cannot seem to find specs on the power pack! The pack recommended is PID AIR-PWDADPT-RGD2= however will this provide full-power to the device and enable all aerials? I am not a wifi expert. Can anyone please recommend or assist on how to connect this device but allowing for 2.5Gig link to WAP and 10Gig SFP to switch. From the specs it appears the only way to get Full-Power is by using Cisco's UPOE?
TIA,
Geoff

Not sure i have understand correctly your requirement, if this is outdoor you looking to deploy on Tower ( Media converter and PoE adaptor on the tower), then you need to take the Source of power near to where you looking to deploy) make sure if this is exposed you need to use weather to protect the cabinet.
below PoE information to help you.

The Input power requirements table shows the options. You can see it supports full power on any of 802.3bt, UPOE or DC power.

Intresting to read.... I have connected the recommended AIR-PWDADPT-RGD2=, and on the controller I see normal power.
But it support 60w 802.3AT.
So I decided to by another POE++ adapter the Zyxel PoE12-60W 5G PoE++ injector 802.3bt compatible (max. 60W)>
Same specs as he Cisco AIR-PWRINJ7 but way cheaper. And as written in the documentation. Any 802.3bt device is supported.
But inside the controller the acess point stays in normal power and the uplink port with POE is not working.
We wouldlike to use this setup, to connect a POE camera behind the AP.

@Peter van der Vlies "it support 60w 802.3AT" - 802.3at supports maximum 30W supply
AIR-PWRADPT-RGD2 is a 60W power adapter as per data sheet at
https://community.cisco.com/kxiwq67737/attachments/kxiwq67737/discussions-wireless/258189/1/AIR_PWRADAPT_RGD2.pdf
So the AP should provide 802.3af PoE (max 15.4W) on the PoE-out port.
What is the power requirement/specification of the camera?

Thanks Rich,
But I though the AIR-PWDADPT-RGD2= is supplying 60w and on 802.3at. However we have bought some Zyxel compattible to the air-pwtinj7 from Cisco. But still normal power in the controller. The cam's are normal POE so the 15.4 should be oke.
Some new testing soon.

> I though the AIR-PWDADPT-RGD2= is supplying 60w and on 802.3at.
60W - yes, 802.3at - no. It's a simple power supply not PoE.
But just to be clear 802.3at (PoE+) cannot supply 60W power.
60W is only possible from 802.3bt.
