1. Only AP’s require licenses. DNA licenses are packaged with the AP, but you will not use it unless you have a DNA center. Network licenses are perpetual licenses and does not have a expiry date. whether you need advantage or essential bundle must be decided based on your deployment. for most of the deployments essentials licenses are sufficient, but again it’s up to you to decide based on your deployment.
2. you don’t need to consider any AP adder licenses for the controller since you are ordering licenses with the AP. But if you have any AP’s which you are migrating from your old setup then u need to order the dna licenses only.
3. any AP needs to join 9800require dna and network licenses, but keep in mind that licenses are not yet strictly enforced in 9800 and you will be able to join AP with evaluation licenses.
My recommendation would be not to order 1562, instead you can order the 9124 ax AP. Also consider ordering a HA controller if your budget allows to, May be you can have a chat with your Cisco rep to get an additional discount when ordering a ha WLC.
