paste the output of this commands:
1. sh sysinfo from wlc, also paste the complete boot up-process from AP console.

Hi AJIN,
Normally for Kuwait your AP model should be : AP 2802I-I-K9
and you have AP 2802I-E-K9 -> Normally its for Europe.

Hi Sandeep,
So can I change the country in the controller and try associating the AP? Will it work? Is there any other workaround?
Thanks,

Hi Ajin,
As Rasika wrote....
AP is also using the wrong port to discover WLC.
Are you using IP helper command and IP forward-protocol udp <5246> command on switch ?

Hi Sandeep,
As this is a new setup, the AP is connected directly to the PoE port of the 2504 controller. And DHCP is configured in the switch which is connected to the controller, and no IP forward protocol command is used

Hi Ajin,
Its not a recommended solution to attach AP directly to WLC.
If you want to join AP, then you need to setup a dhcp scope on the wlc and make sure that it must be on the same network as the wlc management. The ap will get an ip address from the pool and join the wlc as long as everything else is configured correctly.

Hi Sandeep,
Let me give that a try. But I have a 2702I-E-K9 AP which got connected without any issue connecting directly to the controller. The problem is only with the AP2802I-E-K9
Thanks,

It appears to me as if the 2504 controller software does not have the correct image for the AP2802, but does have the right immage to send to the AP2702.
in the release notes of 8.0.140.0. the 2800 series is not mentioned (could be cosmetic)?
The following access point platforms are supported in this release:

Hi Sandeep,
I have reset the controller, configured it with country Germany and timezone Berlin, created a DHCP scope, then connected it to a Cisco switch and also the AP to the switch. This time the AP has joined the controller without any hiccup but both the radios are showing DOWN! Please see the attached screenshot. How can we bring the radios up?
Thanks,

Did you try to enable manually to these Radios of AP by going here:
wireless > Access Point > Radios > 802.11a/n/c or 802.11b/g/n then on far right of each a blue drop down arrow box is there click on configure and enable the admin status.
