Hello,

What are the possible methods of deploying a Cisco 3602i AirCap Access Point and Cisco c9105AXi AP without an external Wireless LAN Controller?
Is it possible to deploy the 3602i access point in lightweight mode, using the inbuilt AireOS Wireless Controller, without an external WLC?

Thanks.

1. 3602 dont have inbuilt WLC.

2. 9105 has inbuilt EWC, means you can run as controller & AP. But it will not support 3602 as subordinate AP.

here are the list which 9100 series AP supports as subordinate APs:

@Sandeep Choudhary, it means the only way to deploy 3602i without an external WLC is in autonomous mode. But why is the default mode lightweight because it would have been easier to deploy without an additional appliance in autonomous mode?

Thanks.

You can download autonomous image and install it on 3602.

Please share the link for the current image (ap3g2-k9w7-tar.153-3.JF14i.tar) released in March, if you have it. You may share via google drive or wetransfer.

Thanks.

If you have Cisco software support you can download from https://software.cisco.com/download/home/284006700/type/284180979/release/15.3.3-JF14i otherwise you'll need to approach the reseller you purchased the AP from for assistance.
