I was hoping you might be able to help me .
I am needing to upgrade the IOS as mentioned and “may need” to upgrade the FUS . As the IOS I need to use the 2802 controllers is going to be 8.5.135 which is fine . I am trying to determine what FUS they are currently on , although the 2504s are in a pair they look different it looks like the back up has a FUS 1.9 Which looks like it will be fine , however the primary is on one I cannot determine , I was wondering if you could identify what they are on ??
Cisco don’t make it clear and the confusing part I have is highlighted in red

Primary controller is not running on the FUS version 1.9 . You have to upgrade the FUS only on your Primary. As you said Secondary is fine.
Refer Table 1 for 1.9 FUS components
Also direct upgrade to 8.5.xx.xx is recommended. You have to 1st upgrade 8.3.xx.xx and then 8.5.xx.xx.
Check the release notes of the version you are gng to upgrade twice before upgrade to avoid issues.

Agree
The only other recommendation unless there is a reason you cant upgrade to 8.5.140 I would recommend going to this 8.5 train in line with the TAC recommended AirOS builds:

Best I can find is the bootloader 1.0.18 is FUS 1.8, so will need to upgrade. Secondary is on FUS 2.0

1. Upgrade the primary controller FUS. No FUS upgrade needed for the secondary.
2. Don't use 8.5.135.0 because the bug about APs corrupting their IOS (Field Notice) wasn't fixed until 8.5.140.0.
3. Read the Release Notes carefully. It is not possible to have a direct upgrade from 8.0 to 8.5 without going through 8.3.X.X first.
