Dear colleagues,
i am trying to change AP group name for 180 access-points. I would like to do this over CLI . But the issue is every time i past the config line WLC request confirmation as below:
(Cisco Controller) >config ap group-name Apartment-Rental AP-APP-203_1
Changing the AP's group name will cause the AP to reboot.
Are you sure you want to continue? (y/n)
as the result i cannot past all 180 lines at ones to cli and finish the task
is there any "noconfirm" option to use with this command ?
thank you in advance!

Hi
There´s no "no confirm" but you can add Yes and go ahead. Are you using a spreadsheet?

In the past, I used Excel and added "y" in a new row for all commands and it worked.

Been caught out by this before.
I used subline text to insert a line under every "config ap ..." and added "y" as the value on that line.
Then it works when you paste it into the CLI.

Just make sure you're on latest AireOS. There was a regression bug we found in earlier 8.8 that when you tried to paste in a lot of commands with prompts like that the buffer choked so you could only do a few lines at a time.
