Cisco WLC2504 Wifi printer detection by name on Different SSID and VLAN?

Hi all,

does any one could advise me on how to do configuration of Cisco WLC 2504 and Cisco AP 1832 to provide user both laptop and mobile phone( IOS and Android)to connect to Canon Wifi printer MG4100 Series by name searching setup ( not setup manually by configure the IP). I can connect to the AP and set the printer up by Manually adding the IP address of the printer and printer from another SSID and Vlan but I can only search and setup the printer by name only the same Vlan could not do it from another Vlan.

It is not working for adding DNS host record.It will work if we connect to the same SSID.

It is about Broadcast forwarding from Printer VLAN to another Vlan.

After adding the printer to dns, can you ping the printer name?

Yes,i can ping by name.It is about printer setup searching automatically it is related to broadcast and Multicast dns not DNS.

If the printer supports it, check mDNS configuration on WLC.
