Clients unable to get an IP address from lightweight APs

Hello, I am trying to set up some old access points with a WLC 4402 and it's working except that clients don't get IPs when they connect to the AP. So, The controller, as mentioned before, is a WLC4402 and the access point is a 1131 series lightweight. I have gotten as far as setting up the WLAN with security and getting the AP to associate to the WLC but when I try to connect to the network no IP address is given out. My current setup has the WLC and the AP on a 3750g switch, which is connected to a 2851 router ascting as the DHCP server. When I had autonomous APs set up everything worked fine, and all the wired devices get an ip perfectly. It seems to me that it is something with the DHCP server config in the WLC. So far I have tried setting the DHCP server in the management and ap-manager interfaces to my router (192.168.2.1) and I have tries setting the override setting in WLAN config to the router. I can't seem to wrap my head around this, I have only really worked with the old autonomous access points until now. I think someone here will be able to figure it out.

     Configure the DHCP server IP address (the router) on your WLC interface with the IP address of "192.168.2.30".  With these legacy devices, i guess you're not using FlexConnect; not sure if you have some security features on the switch side. Configure the WLC to work as a relay, but in "bridging mode", not "proxy mode".

Wow! 3.2.X.X firmware.

Now that you mention it, I realized just how old this WLC is. Does Cisco still have the newer firmware available?

Last firmware support for the 4400 is 7.0.X.X, however, it is going to be a painful exercise to upgrade.
It is not possible to upgrade from 3.X.X.X to 7.0.X.X directly. There needs to be a "collection" of intermediate firmware to jump from one version to another until 7.0.X.X is reached.
And because the 4400 is very, very old, Cisco is no longer hosting the files. The only place to find those firmware is to go through the web.
