Convert Cisco C1100 ISR internal AP from capwap to mobility express

I want to convert the internal AP to mobility express. When I run the command ap-type mobility express tftp://192.168.1.1/ISR-AP1100AC-ME-8-10-183-0.tar the AP times out with TFTP details not provided, please try again. 

Is the correct file the .tar file or one of the files within the tar?

It sounds like your problem is either connectivity to the TFTP server or the TFTP server itself.
- Make sure you can ping the TFTP server - if not check your routing to and from the server and make sure no ACLs/firewalls blocking access
- Make sure TFTP server is correctly configured and check the server logs to work out why it's not working.
