Hello,
When selecting country codes on a WLC - what exactly is this doing in the background? Does it prevent certain APs from being able to connect to the WLC. Are certain standards disabled etc..? I know it's just a tick box, but really want to understand what happens in the background.
Thanks

Hi GRANT,
Normally country code specify a particular country of operation (such as DE for Germany or US for America). Each country code ensures that each radio’s broadcast frequency bands, interfaces, channels, and transmit power levels are compliant with country-specific regulations.

Just a add-on to sandeep,
The Country Code will be set during the initial setup for your prefered location I would say.
If you AP belongs to a Regulartory Domain that does not fits to your CC the AP is not able to join.
