Well, keep in mind this is a capwap AP and it is searching for a WLC in order to join and get the information it needs. This step of adding IP address is only good for the AP find the WLC and join to it. You are not going to manage the AP by using this IP.

That command is only intended to use when AP got a lightweight image. Once you converted to Autonomous, it does not require it. You can simply go to configuration mode by "config t" CLI command.

Check the image AP running on by "show version".  If the AP runs an autonomous code, the version will show the string k9w7. If the AP runs a lightweight code, the version will show k9w8.

i have a lightweight access point , even though this commande is not recongnized .

Hi

This command "debug lwapp console cli " used to work in IOS AP.  1852 is COS (ClickOS) AP  and cisco removed this command.

For this mode, if you are trying to setup static IP , use:

capwap ap ip <static-ip-addr>  <static-netmask> < ip-addr-default-gateway>

i've tried

capwap ap ip add 192.168.102.80 255.255.255.0 192.168.102.1 , but i said invalid ip /mask/gateway

there is not add

capwap ap ip 192.168.102.80 255.255.255.0 192.168.102.1

so is there any commande , method to transfer the image 17.3.6.76 to my access point 1852I , as according to the above the tftp methode wont work .

Thanks in advance !!

Sorry, I may expressed wrongly. You can transfer image to the AP yes. There are a few things you can do with the AP in capwap and transfer image is one of them.

This guide is to convert from capwap to mobility express but can give you a hind on how to proceed.
