Difference between "Assocation duration" and "Connected for" or "Uptime"-time for a WLAN Client

Hello Cisco WLAN experts,

I would like to know the difference between "Association duration"-time and "Connected for"-time.

Both values are show on Prime when You look for Monitor -> Clients and  Users with the MAC-adress of a WLAN Client.

For Example: Assocation time: 2hours 20 Minutes   Uptime: 1117 Seconds   (Connected for Time)

The Uptime-value is also shown in CLI show client details as "Connected for" value.

Connected For ................................... 1117 secs

What is basic difference between these two values ?

Why are they not identical ?

Please find two screenshoots from our Prime 3.8

Thank You for Your comments in advance

I'm not entirely sure, but my guess is the "sleeping" feature of wireless. So it stays associated, but is not actually active.

Or, the "Connected for" belongs to the currently connected to access point, while the associated belongs to the whole SSID.

uptime under 802.11 metrics is about the time the client is on that particular AP-radio.
Duration - its about the overall/consolidated time where the client is associated with the network through any AP(s).
