Hi,
I am using autonomous Cisco 1242 AP's with Teklogix terminals running Windows CE.
The Teklogix consultant wants us to enable CCX support on our AP's so that the terminals stay connected to the network when they are in power-save mode.
Can someone please advise of the configuration required to be implemented on my AP's.
Thanks
Lee

CCX is enabled by default on the AP's. As long as you don't see "no dot11 extension aironet" under your radio interfaces CCX is enabled.

Hi,
We do have "no dot11 extension aironet" applied to our AP's. So, if I understand correctly, this command disables CCX ?
Is that globally or per radio interface or per SSID ?
We have multiple SSID's on our AP's, is it possible to enable CCX on a per SSID basis.
What are the drawbacks to enabling CCX ?
Thanks

CCX, by default, is enabled. The main argument is the the manufacturer of the Wireless NIC card whether or not it's been tested BY Cisco.
Here's a list of computer vendors and Wireless NIC that are CCX Certified:
