encrypted (DTLS)

I have a T1 connection to one of my sites, I am running HREAP with 4 AP's. I have been noticing a spike in traffic from my AP's to the WLC. Even when no one is on the wireless. Does anyone know when you use encryption (DTLS) should this cause spikes on the T1? I don't notice it anywhere else.

Thanks

It does add overhead. But you would just have to monitor it. Baseline the traffic with dtls disabled and see for yourself the difference.

what model AP are you using?

#In a Cisco unified local wireless network environment, do not enable DTLS on the Cisco 1130 and 1240 access points, as it may result in severe throughput degradation and may render the APs unusable.

#Remove centrally switched wlan from hreap AP, that'll disble data DTLS.
