Factory reset 1602I Autonomous mode.

Have a 1602I AP in Autonomous mode. (ap1g2-k9w7-tar.153-3.JF15.tar)

How do I erase/delete to factory reset?

The write erase is the first method to try.  The next method is to go to the flash and delete the private files, nvram, etc.  Here are my notes from a long long long time ago:)

Console/SSH/Telnet to the AP:

debug lwapp console cli < for lwapp 

debug capwap console cli < for capwap

erase /all nvram

undebug all

reload

*******************************************************

Example:

Entered the username and password

debug capwap console cli

erase /all nvram:

[confirm]

undebug all

reload

[confirm]

*******************************************************

Hold reset for over 30 seconds to get to ROMMON

ap:delete flash:private-config

ap:delete flash:private-multiple-fs

ap:boot

Look at the bottom of my notes under rommon.  That is for any ap type.

Both not an option

Have "(debug uap) Universal AP debug commands" instead.

I thought we had already concluded you have faulty hardware?
What are you hoping to achieve through further debugging?

If you really want further help from people here then capture the full console log from your AP console port to a TEXT file (not a screenshot, not a PDF) saved as <filename of your choice>.txt showing EVERYTHING from the AP console from the moment you turn on the power with every command you type and every response the AP gives.  Attach that text file to your reply here as a file attachment.  You are drip feeding tiny titbits of information making a complete view and accurate diagnosis impossible.

Regarding your debug commands - lwapp and capwap (lwapp pre-dates capwap) only apply to a lightweight (controller based) AP (k9w8 IOS).  You stated that your AP is running autonomous (k9w7) IOS so those are not valid options on an autonomous AP.  Scott already replied to your previous reply saying "Look at the bottom of my notes under rommon".

The solution for me was:

ap#delete flash:config.txt

ap#delete flash:config.txt.bak

ap#reload

Glad you able to fix the issue, even you can reset to factory should wipe all the config as we suggested before.

Not that model you mentioned, but yes for higher models of AP.
