Follow the below steps :

Connect the console cable -

- Press and hold the MODE button while reconnecting the power cable  to AP. ( or connecting to PoE switch)

- Press the MODE button till the Ethernet LED turns to RED (or Amber), then release the button (Pressing time will be around 10-20 seconds). Sometimes AP will go into boot mode, then we must enter the command “boot”  and press enter.

- Now Access Point will reboot and we can configure it again via console or web interface.

Have tried that but no luck.
After doing that, ap still have old stuff like SSID when running show running -config.

Can you post complete boot log :

or if you command line access of AP you can reset the config :

File attached regarding post from Rich R

Plus sample of running-config showing data that not been erased.

1. None of those logs show an erase command being used?
2. The logs show the AP was reloaded not power cycled.

If you power cycle and use the mode button that will be clearly shown in the logs.

Another thing to consider (possibly) - these APs emulate NVRAM: but it's actually stored on the flash: but flash: corruption is a common problem.  Have you done fsck on the flash: and power cycled the AP followed by another fsck for good measure?

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless-mobility/wireless-lan-wlan/213317-understanding-various-ap-ios-flash-corru.html

ps: power cycle means disconnect and reconnect power source - not reload command.

@Rich RAfter doing fsck flash: + power cycle + fsck flash:

AP still contain:

i.e.

dot11 vlan-name IOT vlan 140
dot11 vlan-name internet vlan 120
dot11 vlan-name ip-telefoner vlan 130
!
dot11 ssid IOT01
vlan 140
authentication open
authentication key-management wpa
mbssid guest-mode
wpa-psk ascii 7 08314D5D1A0E0A0516
!
dot11 ssid IOT18
vlan 140
authentication open
authentication key-management wpa
mbssid guest-mode
wpa-psk ascii 7 08314D5D1A0E0A0516

I want to clomplete erase the AP.

BR and thanks for trying to help.

But did you do "erase /all nvram:" or mode button factory default after that?
And provide logs showing you did that?

Did fsck report any problems with the flash?

Hi

After fsck flash: + power cycle + fsck flash: + erase /all nvram:

Config still include vlan and ssid.

Did fsck report any problems with the flash? NO

-------------------------------------------------

I don't think I full understand.

Could you provide step by step

1)Start with this

2)Do that

3)And finaly do this

Thanks in advanced

Just in case, here are files in my flash:

Can you post complete boot log :

How to do that? (Only have CLI).

How to do that? (Only have CLI).
- Plug a console cable into the AP (which you must be doing for CLI anyway right?)
- Log all the console output to a file

If you are already logged in on CLI then simply: erase /all nvram:
Then reload without saving config.

There are a lot of guides and blogs on various ways to perform what you want.  Take a look here as this link provides step by step instructions.  If you have access to the cli, you can always use the write erase  and reload without saving.

https://popravak.wordpress.com/2014/08/26/resetting-cisco-capwaplwap-access-point-to-factory-defaults/

Search "how to factory reset cisco autonomous access point". You will find blogs and videos on how to do this. Once you find one that works, then document that in case you need to perform this task again.

@Scott FellaAfter "write erase and reload without saving." my unwanted data still excist in configuration!

Then the flash must have gone read-only so you have faulty hardware which needs to be replaced.  The hardware is already end of support so Cisco won't replace it for you so suggest you upgrade to something more current.

Note that in that case I would expect to see at least some errors in the logs to alert you to that.  If you had just provided full console logs from power on (in text file form not pdf of screenshots) then we might have seen those errors and diagnosed the problem without wasting so much time back and forth!
