Flexconnect Native (AP management) and Data VLAN can be the same ?

Hello,

I plan to local switching 2 SSID by mapping to two local VLAN

Data SSID = WLAN_A

Device SSID = WLAN_B

Data VLAN = 10

Device VLAN = 20

But I don't plan to introduce new native VLAN for AP Management, will it work if I just use Data VLAN set as native (to be the AP management as well) ?

WLAN_A map to VLAN 10

WLAN_B map to VLAN 20

Native VLAN map to VLAN 10

switchport native vlan 10

switchport allowed vlan 10,20

Hi Hakim,

I understand that you have two WLAN_A & B on VLAN 10 & 20 respectively. And you would like to use the VLAN 10 as AP Management as well.

In that case, the above configuration mentioned is correct. But as you know, the frames on native VLAN sends/receives untagged. Hence, here the traffic on VLAN 10 will be untagged. However, this won't break the Flex connect functionality.

Divya

Thank you Divp,

So VLAN 10 leaving the switch entering the AP will be untagged, I guess this would not break the FlexConnect but user data traffic would not be routed to WLAN_A properly..
