Hello

We have an C9800-CL, and we want one SSID to be "Flex" and another one "central switched". Is that possible? If so, what mode do we need to configure the AP?

Thank you

Marcos

Yes it's quite a common use case.  We use it all the time.

The AP must be in flexconnect mode to support local switching.

 - FYI  : https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/catalyst-9800-series-wireless-controllers/213945-understand-flexconnect-on-9800-wireless.html
   - When configuring your controller, you can always have a checkup review of the configuration (or configuring attempts) with the CLI command show tech wireless ; feed the output into : https://cway.cisco.com/wireless-config-analyzer/
The mentioned procedure is strongly advised ,

In 9800 AP configurations are controlled via Tags & Profiles. By creating two policy profiles (Central & Flex) you can assign those policy profiles to respective SSID (or WLAN Profiles). Please refer below blog post that may help to understand the FlexConnect basics with 9800
