Guest-WLAN logging

Hello!

We have the following construction:

WLAN Controller 4402 with guest WLAN/Web Authentification The guests are led to the internet via a seperate Securepoint Firewall (transparent Proxy). Separated from the remaining enterprise network. My superior would now like however that the guests-sessions are logged. It should be comprehensibly, who was, when, with which IP, on which URL.

That is unfortunately not possible with the WLC alone. The whole solution should be for free, of course.

Presently a Kiwi Syslog was configured, which already logs the username, the time-period and the IP. Of course the only thing missing is still the assignment of a user to an URL.

This you are of course able to see via the Securepoint, but then we would have already 2 different tools and would have to bring them together. We don´t like that.

Next problem is that the found solution will be installed for the Guest-WLAN at two further locations. So it should pe pretty easy to install.

Are there no tools, which fulfill everything? Of course they should be freeware (desire of my superoir) and no NAC or something.

How about a HTTP proxy server ? You can dynamically push it to guest PCs through a DHCP option and automatic download ?

Do you have any more details on the dhcp option, proxies have always been an issue with WLCs in that they do not work with each other is there a way around this yet?

Not the perfect solution but it can work.
