Hi,

It is a controller based AP(C1140-RCVK9W8-M), means it will only work with with a Cisco controller.

What you need to do if you want to use it as standalone/Autonomous: just Convert it to autonomous AP.

HOW TO DO IT.

please help, wait online....

Good day wenchunx-

Not positive of all details of your network.  It sounds like the native (untagged) VLAN of switch port connected to AP is VLAN 10.  Is this also the native (untagged) VLAN on the switch port that connects to the upstream router?  I'm assuming the router is the DHCP server here.

Please advise when you get the chance.

Hello Hammel, thank you for your great help. here is the detail of my setting. included the router DHCP setting and Switch VLAN setting. the last is LAP-1142N-A-K9 AP error log. i have reset the AP to factory default setting.. please kind help give me an advise how to set it up to make it work. i have struggle on this more than one month...

there also have another question is whether i need setup the AP to assign an IP address to it?

Thank you for your time and kindly help on this!

Best Regards,

Wenchun

Hi wenchunx

It looks clearly that it's not Autonomous AP as it is looking for WLC to Join.
