AP has loaded a firmware which is "compatible" to a WLC running 8.5.151.0, which is also the Primary Boot Image.

Hi Leo,

Thank you for your info..

Can you please tell me how do i upgrade the image manually? By CLI..

Thanks..

Regards,

shrijan

What are you trying to accomplish?

The firmware of each individual AP is dictated by the WLC.
Potentially, you "can" upgrade the firmware of the AP but the WLC manages the firmware of each AP.

Hi Leo,

Actually My 1562E AP is not joining WLC. And it is showing an error like “{watchdogd} Process capwapd no heartbeat for 60s Error on 1560”..

So I’m thinking if I can upgrade the image of this AP manually through CLI, May be it will join WLC.. is it possible to upgrade by CLI? If yes how shall I do it..??

Thanks

shrijan

Console into the AP and reboot the AP.  Post the entire bootup process.

Post the complete output to the following WLC commands:

sh sysinfo
sh time

Hi Leo,

Sorry for the late response..

Please kindly find the attached file as per your request.

Thanks.

Factory reset the AP and connect the AP to a wired network.

Look at the time and date of the AP's logs.  This means the AP has never "reached" the WLC.  Has other APs worked?

Hi Leo,

Factory reset the AP and connect the AP to a wired network.  >>> I have already tried to reset to the factory settings and connected the AP with wired network but did not join WLC..

Look at the time and date of the AP's logs.  This means the AP has never "reached" the WLC.  Has other APs worked?

Other APs are working fine.. let say currently i have more 10 outdoor and 5 indoor APs.

Thanks.
