How to capture the packets from Cisco WLC

I need to capture the packets for Cisco jabber application in android phone. I used one App "tPacketCapture" for capturing the packets. But it didn't work properly since we are not able to make calls from jabber after enabling the tPacketCapture App. Please suggest any other App which can be used for packet capture..

Is it possible to capture the packets flowing in cisco jabber (android phone) from Cisco WLC. Please help me out to carry out this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

From the controller side, you can capture the wireless traffic, check the link below:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/75236/collecting-wireless-sniffer-trace-using-cisco-lightweight-ap-sniffer-mode

From the Android, I am not aware about the tools, but I have heard about this:

Hi. Trying to do a per client packet capture but its not working.

I tried to set it up both in the GUI and CLI but to no avail... I get no PCAP files but I did it a few months back and it all worked!

Have confirmed that my FTP Server is working (can FTP to it as the same username/passwd from another computer and can upload files.

WLC can ping my FTP Server.

Is there anything else I can check?

Thanks.

If your CAPWAP traffic is not encrypted (default), you can capture the packets on the switch where the AP is connected to. On Cisco switches this would be a SPAN port: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3750x_3560x/software/release/12-2_55_se/configuration/guide/3750xscg/swspan.html
