% Invalid input detected at '^' marker. when trying to upgrade

I keep receiving this error "% Invalid input detected at '^' marker" when trying to run the command on a Cisco C9105AVI-B:

ap-type ewc-ap tftp://192.168.1.5/ap1g8 tftp://192.168.1.25/C9800-AP-iosxe-wlc.bin

 

Any help would be appreciated

make sure there is no space after the end of line or command 

 

Another problem i see your TFTP Servers are different why ?

This is cisco Example - Do you have TFTP Server running on 192.168.1.25 ?

@balaji.bandi I think you missed his point! CLI is not accepting the command.

Provide a show ver from the AP and exact copy/paste of what you typed and what the response was from your ap-type command @ruiznpcs1 ?

For example if you tried to type that on the CLI of an EWC AP/WLC you'd expect an error because it is not a valid command.  It's only valid on a CAPWAP AP to convert to EWC.

There are a number of chances he got the error, in WLC  or AP, empty space also not accepted ( that is one of the reasons mentioned)

Also, he has the wrong information of TFTP server, he may be trying from the document directly without changing information ( so want to heads up)

 

Maybe one of the reasons mentioned AP may be in a different Mode. ( we are in assumption here until OP discloses full information, we going to be the only brak play here).
