License issue 5508 WLC

Hi,

I recently purchased a 25 AP adder license for 5508 WLC. Upon installation, it showed as evaluation and not permanent.

Reached out to Cisco license team and they confirmed the PAK file was unfulfilled and they registered the PAK file and provided another file. Again upon installing the new file same issue I faced.

Again reached out to Cisco and same reason PAK file was unfulfilled and they registered the PAK file and provided another file now.

Is there any way where I can check if the new file provided by Cisco would be working as permanent license. I would need to check before installing on the WLC.

After installing the license, did you save it and reboot the WLC ?

Yes. All done. the WLC was rebooted

My question here is  there any way to check of the license reissued by cisco can be verified and confirmed to be working fine before it is installed.

No. You cant verfiy before it installed to WLC.

Normally if cisco provided the .lic file then it must be correct!
