licenses for C1-AIR-CT3504 & C1-AIR-CT5520-K9

Both C1-AIR-CT3504 & C1-AIR-CT5520-K9 support N+1 and HA-SSO redundancy modes.

1) is it correct and general approach to order access points licenses only for installation on one wireless controller to deploy N+1 or HA-SSO redundancy mode on site instead of ordering doubled amount of licenses to install on each of two wireless controllers?!

2) for CiscoOne new licenses type should be ordered “Cisco ONE Foundation + Next Gen SWSS (inkl. DNA-E)” ?! Here it is also not clear that perpetual license type includes term-based licenses?!

Regarding 1:
For HA-SSO option, only the primary controller needs the amount of APs licensed. The backup doesn't require a special license.
For N+1, both require the amount of available APs (because both run and service clients at the same time). Unless this has changed somewhen.

2: No idea.

That's correct. In HA SSO & N+1 redundancy both instances you require AP licenses on the primary unit. Backup/redundant WLC will inherit the AP license from the primary WLC in case of failure. FYI, for N+1 redundancy the controller should be running code 7.4 or higher.

Cisco ONE Foundation and Cisco ONE Advanced are a perpetual license solution suite offered on WLAN controllers and Aironet access points. Cisco DNA Essentials, Advantage, and Premier are a subscription-based license solution suite offered on WLAN controllers and Aironet access points with embedded Software Support. They can consume Cisco DNA Center capabilities only through new subscription-based licenses.

I think you need the term-based subscription licenses only when you are migration to DNA.

If you are, Cisco ONE customers with active SWSS will automatically receive the DNA innovation at SWSS renewal. Customers with Cisco ONE A Foundation will receive DNA Essentials. Customers with Cisco ONE Advanced will receive DNA Advantage. Customers have a choice to upgrade to get DNA Premier.
