Hello,
Does anybody know how many concurrent client connections the 1602E access point can handle.
Thanks.

The rule of thumb is 20-25 per AP. this number is not set in stone and depends on the application being used. Your bottleneck would be the gigabit port in the AP and the channel usage that can affect performance. Video traffic could limit the client count to 4 per ap and maybe just email and web traffic you can have 40. So it varies.

Per AP support up to 26 clients.

per radio is 200...
but actually the number never goes that far, like Scott said for a good user experience, around 30 is recommended.

Thanks for all of the input. Sounds like the AP can accommodate lots of concurrent connections, but to achieve good user experience the number should be between 24 - 30.

I've had users complain when 30 users are on a single 1602i AP, I'd assume the 1602e is similar. Keep it down under 20, I'd say.

The less the better since many don't just surf the Internet and check email. All it takes is for downloads/uploads, streaming video to ruin it for others:)
