Meraki Cloud controller backup authentication?

Hi All,

Good day!

We have configured 1 SSID and used 1 Radius server for authentication. I would like to ask if we can create a backup authentication on Meraki Cloud control that if we our Radius server fails we can still use Local Autotication like (use of Preshared key) or someting?

What design/plan did you use other than creating a backup radius server?

Any Idea???

Your backup solution has to be the same type of encryption to work. Going from 802.1x to psk does not work in any environment. If you want a backup in case your radius goes down or your AD, then create a new SSID the uses psk and disable it until you have to use it. This is not really ideal because it's a manual change, but not much you can do. I wouldn't really call it a backup more like a temporary solution until the radius comes back online.
