Mobility Express AP LED Blinking different colors and not Broadcasting

Hello All,

I initialized and configured Mobility Express access point with necessary parameters. CDP neighbors all shows that the access point is connected to a switch.

I can't figure out why the access point LED is flashing different colors and also the ssid with WLAN ID I created with status enabled is not broadcasting.

Your response will be appreciated.

Attached are the debug logs.

I don't know how for you have gotten, but did you make sure you have the right software to Mobility Express:
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/technotes/8-2/b_Mobility_Express_Deployment_guide/b_Mobility_Express_Deployment_guide_chapter_01100.html
This guide will also show you what the led means.

Thanks for the response.

The image running is Mobility Express image and version 8.5

As I stated earlier, the mobility express access point is up on the network and I can connect via GUI.

The issue still persists. LED blinking different colours and ssid is not broadcasting.

Any help please, thanks in advance.

Have you confirmed that the time in set correctly on the ME? It shouldn't have let you complete the setup without but its worth checking.

Also is the default gateway set for the AP reachable by it?

Regards

Hello,

Thanks for the response.

The time is set correctly and there is IP reachability between the AP and other devices on the network as there is gateway configured.

More inputs will be appreciated.

Do you provide enough power to the AP?
Can you console into the AP and show the logfile?

Hello All,

I have enough PoE power. I also used power injector, same result.

No show logfile command available.

More assistance will be appreciated.

Regards,

Ethelbert

Can you attach a console cable and then reboot the AP?

Please post the full bootup log that is shown in the console.
