Greetings,
Kindly advise how to troubleshoot no switch port led (notconnect shown in interface output) but AP 1542 is having green blinking when connected initially followed by red blinking.
But switch interface showing not connect with no LED on port
Switch port configured as below:
description *WIFI*
switchport trunk native vlan x
switchport mode trunk
logging event status
spanning-tree portfast
spanning-tree bpduguard enable
And power output for problematic port 0/7 is as below highlighted. Its not showing power inline as other working ports . Is it because of some cable or cable termination issue.
)#do sh power in

Make sure CDP enable on that port.
at this stage - not sure is a cable issue or a port issue (or may be Faulty AP?)
get the AP nearer to the switch connecting using small patch cable and check is the AP is able to boot and get Power.
then you know where to go next to fix the issue?

Try moving one of the working APs to port 7 - if it works then the port is fine so it's a cable or AP fault.
Replace the cable or test with a short cable as BB says - that will eliminate potential cable fault. You could achieve the same by swapping with one of the other APs.
Then that leaves the faulty AP option which is what I suspect this will be. Ieee PD means it never completed CDP/LLDP PoE negotiation so quite likely the AP wasn't able to boot.
Of course you should also plug a console cable into the AP and observe the logs from power on. If the AP is faulty you'll either see nothing there if it can't even start or you'll see errors when it fails to boot.
