Hi
First off, AP need to support trunk config on its ports. Considering it supports, then, you need trunk if you have more then one SSID on it. If you have let´s say Guest and Cort SSID, each one of them must be mapped to a VLAN on the AP side. The AP then need to be in trunk with the Switch and on the switch side you need to have both vlan as well.
If you have only one SSID, then you can put the port in access both AP and switch and on the switch.
-If I helped you somehow, please, rate it as useful.-
