Hi There,
Is this for licensing purposes?
We have both Virtual Prime (3.1) and FMC (6.1).
For the FMC I don't think there is a serial number as such. For licensing you need to use the "licensing key" attached to the VM.
System / Licenses / Classic License / Add new License (See attached). You then use this key stated there on the Cisco Licensing Portal (Click get License) to generate license keys you have purchased.
With Prime - I believe this now depends on the version you are running. What Prime version do you have?

HI,
Prime version 3.1.6...
In the contract details PAK/SN mentioned for PI as well FS..
Now our customer is asking that can you confirm the S/N in VM device level
They are compare with Contract details and VM serial number
so please suggest..
Thanks

Hmmm, I have checked my own version and see below - No Serial attached which is what I thought. I wonder if anyone else can add some input regarding this.
Product Model | Cisco Firepower Management Center for VMWare | |
---|---|---|
Serial Number | None | |
Software Version | 6.1.0.2 | |
Operating System | Cisco Fire Linux OS | |
Operating System Version | 6.1.0 | |
IPv4 Address | x.x.x.x | |
IPv6 Address | Disabled | |
Current Policies |
|
|
Model Number | 66 |
For the FMC
To check - go to System / Configuration / Information.
We run Prime 3.1 and I have just found the following online which works for me.
Administration / Dashboards / System Monitoring Dashboards. Then Expand system information.

You can use your support contract number I believe.
