profiling on cisco WLC 7.6

Hello,

We are implementing a new corporate wireless network with Cisco 5508 WLC 7.6 and 3700i LWAP. We are not running any RADIUS or EAP at the moment  and are starting with WPA2 w/ AES with a pre-shared key to start

we configure profiling as following :

each device have an specific vlan on each floor and configure AP group to separate the AP 

The issue we are having is iOS based devices (iPhone/iPad/android) doesn't take the correct vlan that assigned for each one of them ,instead

sometimes take an ip from the management vlan some time form the same vlan on other floor

Does anyone have any ideas or have run into this problem before?

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

You cannot guaranteed, that given floor client always connect to the same floor AP. Also if client moving from one floor to another, then client will retain the IP obtained from the other floor, even he moved to different floor. I would not do floor wise vlan assignment (at least building wise if that require).

If you take "debug client <mac_address>" output that will tells you what's going on. Below post gives you some reference how it should be under normal working condition.
