Rechecked and rechecked configs, 9115 AP won't join controller

The configs on this AP are exactly the same as the other 12 APs we have on this floor and I can see it in the controller when I console in. I go to mount it and it's boots up red/green endless flashing. When I have it mounted I don't see it on my WLC. This is the 3rd time I've tried and it's bee booting for nearly 10 minutes now. Any suggestions?

In addition to what @balaji.bandi said have you tested the AP on a known working connection?

What software is installed on the AP and what is running on the WLC? (as per previous question)

So generically speaking make sure the cable and power are good - plug in a known working AP on that cable.
Make sure the switch port is correctly configured.
Make sure the AP has the correct software installed - very old AireOS code won't be able to join new 9800 WLC due to CAPWAP changes.
And of course check the console of the AP (from power up) and the logs of the WLC.  Get a packet capture to see what's happening in the discovery and join process.

  1. Do TdR test: “test cable tdr interface <interface Where AP is connected>”;
  2. Wait for about 5 to 7 seconds for the test to run;
  3.  “show cable tdr interface <interface where AP is connected >”

I had an exact same issue with Meraki AP, but I don’t think you have that problem here, in those batch of AP the circuit board capacitor was too close to mounting hole, AP worked great if you don’t mount them, but every time you mounted it pressed the capacitor is wrong way, making the circuit dis functional. Meraki worked it out and fixed the issue, it originated from assembly line.
