Is there any way to  restrict the bandwidth usage Guest wireless users in Cisco DNAC. any pointers to configuration example or article will be good. If it is not possible in DNAC, can we achieve this in WLC.

What are you using to authenticate the guest users?

Your AAA server (eg ISE or 3rd party service) can set the QOS attributes in radius Access Accept.

Also see Configure QoS Rate Limit on Catalyst 9800 Wireless Controllers

That's the link I already provided @balaji.bandi <wink>

@Rich R apologies - may be delay while composing my post, at least we are good in same page.

Hi,

As a good practice try to limit the bandwidth on the wired network not on wireless. Based on my tests it will increase the channel utilization and degrade the the user experience for everybody (I would give you more details but I've done the tests some years ago to validate the claims of an expert from Ruckus and I forgot the details). Also, if you allow streaming services on the quest network do not put the limit low (5 Mb for example) because you will increase the overall traffic. Use some more advanced traffic shaping techniques or Cisco's QoS capabilities. If you cannot do it, instead of limiting the bandwidth give to guest users traffic the lowest priority or even better prioritize certain applications that are important for your users and need low latency and drop streaming traffic on the guest. Let the access points algorithm to do the balancing. They are good at it
