Restrictions for Dot1x authentication for Access Points on Trunk ports?

Hello Experts, 

Switch codes have started supporting dot1x authentication for trunk ports from quite long time. 

However in 8.7 WLC config guide could see the dot1x authentication is not supported on trunk ports. 

I had a network wherein I am already running dot1x authentication for Flexmode APs on trunk ports. Would want to know if its a supported setup/ TAC supported?

I don't suggest doing that for Flexconnect, because the switch would see every wireless-client as a new client on that port. And as you posted, it's officially also not supported/possible for the AP, or maybe that part of the document speaks about the ports on the WLC itself.
