SG110-24HP and Cisco 2800 AP

I have a  SG110-24HP with a Cisco 2800 Access Point.  According to the documentation for the AP, it needs 25.5W of power to power it over PoE, and the  SG110-24HP has 24 ports of dedicated 100W, so initially I think I am OK.   However, when I plug the 2800 into one of the 12 PoE ports, the LED blink rate indicates "not sufficient power."

The AP documentation states that "...any 802.3at compliant switch will work..."  Which the  SG110-24HP isn't.

Questions....

1, Can I use the  SG110-24HP to power the  2800 AP?

2, If I can't, what are the models that are 802.3at compliant?  ( I would like to stay with unmanaged Small Business Series if I can)

3, If I can't use the  SG110-24HP, help me understand why, when the AP only needs 25.5W of power and the  SG110-24HP is providing 100W dedicated per 12 ports.

Thanks

Doug

1. No, as current switch is PoE only

2. See below switch series, which support PoE+

3. 100W is total power budget. single port would able to support 15.4W as it is PoE

Rasika,

Thanks for the quick reply.   Can you possibly tell me what model the 250 Series replaced, and did that model have PoE+ ?

Trying to save a few bucks and get last years switch, vs this years.......assuming it has PoE+.

Thanks again...

Doug

Open the link from Rasika and search for PoE+. You should get to a table in the specifications which lists all compatible models. Important, get a gigabit model, not a 10/100 model!
For example: SG250-26P
Alternatively you could buy and use Cisco PoE+ power injectors (AIR-PWRINJ6 is the model name), if it's just one or two APs.
