Hello,
I need to update my Cisco Catalyst Access Point (9120 AXI-E and 9115 AXI-E) and I can't understand the difference between the download for ''embedded Wireless Controller'' and the ''IOS XE software AP service pack''

Do you know the difference?
Best regards.
Dominique

 - If the access point are not using EWC (running as embedded wireless controller) , then you only need 'IOS XE software AP service pack''.

Further to what @Mark Elsen said if you not using EWC then you have them connected to a Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) and you don't upgrade the AP - you upgrade the controller.  The AP software gets updated by the controller automatically.  The Software AP Service Packs are SMUs (Software Maintenance Upgrade) which are fixes for specific bugs in a specific release.  So the SMUs at https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286322988/type/286325254/release/Amsterdam-17.3.4 are for installing AP fixes for those specific bugs on a controller/EWC already running 17.3.4.

PS: Just seen your other thread so from that I know you're using EWC so you want to download the EWC software https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286322988/type/286323077/release/17.7.1 and https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286322352/type/286323077/release/17.7.1
