Software Upgrade Needed

I contacted Cisco support to ask about software upgrade options for my WLC2500.  I had the following issue and the article recommends upgrading the software - Field Notice: FN63942 - Wireless Lightweight Access Points and WLAN Controllers Fail to Create CAPWAP Connections Due to Certificate Expiration - Software Upgrade Recommended - Cisco

The workaround in the article got me going (disabling NTP & setting time back manually).  Support said I should be able to download a one time software update.  My controller is running software version  8.5.160.0.  I have 4 3702 access points managed by this controller.  Can someone direct me where I can download updated software for these devices?

If you upgrade the controller, the Software automatically update AP software also. so the guide provided follow the instruction to upgrade.

when the WLC upgrade , AP will reboot automatically, so you need downtime while upgrading take place.

check the matrix :

check upgrade procedure steps :

  - As per https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/wireless-lan-controller-software/200046-tac-recommended-aireos.html
   For the 2504 you have 8.5.182.12 (8.5.182.13 for 3504s)
   which is always available

+ These workaround commands which are mentioned in the field notice :
           config ap cert-expiry-ignore {mic|ssc} enable
Are available starting from 8.3.x and you can run these already now; but you should go for the recommended
   release (too) ,

As Marce pointed out the correct last available software release for the 2504 is 8.5.182.12. (link below)

You should remember that the WLC and APs are End of Support so you should be planning to upgrade to supported hardware and software.
