my AP (AIR-CAP3702E-B-K9) seem to loss its firmware. attached is the startup log when trying to reset it using the mode button. any help would be much appreciated

- You need to follow the procedure as mentioned below to get a valid image on the access point again ;
of course , several parameters will need to be changed , such as AP ip address , the tftp server address and also it
must be a correct image for the access point ;
(so alll of this is only an example!)
ap: set IP_ADDR 10.0.0.1
ap: set NETMASK 255.255.255.0
ap: set DEFAULT_ROUTER 10.0.0.1
Step 5 Enter the tftp_init command to prepare the access point for TFTP.
ap: tftp_init
Step 6 Enter the tar command to load and inflate the new image from your TFTP server. The command must include this information:
• the -xtract option, which inflates the image when it is loaded
• the IP address of your TFTP server
• the directory on the TFTP server that contains the image, if needed
• the name of the image
• the destination for the image (the access point Flash)
Your entry might look like this example:
ap: tar -xtract tftp://10.0.0.10/c1200-k9w7-mx.123-7.JA2.tar flash:/
Step 7 When the display becomes full the CLI pauses and displays --MORE--. Press the spacebar to continue.

Is there a way to convert it from autonomous to lightweight in its current state?

Well to be clear - it is neither autonomous nor lightweight while it has no IOS. It's just an AP with a bootloader (also referred to as ROMMON).
When you install the IOS you can choose to install autonomous (k9w7) or lightweight (k9w8) IOS:
Choose the correct lightweight IOS version from the compatibility matrix (link below) to match the WLC software version and then install that. For example for 8.10.196.0 the IOS version must be 15.3(3)JK11 so:
