Hi Everyone,
I have three cisco AIR-AP2702I-UXK9 model access points. None of them are responding to the console access.
Same console cable works for 3750 switch and other routers but when connected to the access point they just dont respond.
Just for your information. These access points are lightweight access points, now I need to convert them to autonomous access for that I need console access.
Please advise.

it should work with the lightweight and autonomous APs.

Yes, it SHOULD...
But....
I am having the same issue.
I cannot get a console prompt from my AIR-CAP2702. I am using a console cable that works just fine on my Cisco WS-C3560-48PS POE switch. I have PuTTY set up to COM3, 9600, 8 bits, 1 stop, no parity, no flow control.

The problem is usually not the console cable but the USB adapter, supposing you are using an USB adapter and connect it to the console cable. I had to try a few different model until I found one that works with AP.

Just because a cable works with Cisco routers or switches does not mean it will work with a Cisco AP!
Always check reviews before buying to confirm that a specific cable has been tested and works with Cisco APs.
Generally speaking cables which use a genuine FTDI chipset (there are many counterfeits around) will work and others may not. Buy a cable which is confirmed to work with Cisco APs (and check the terminal settings as per the previous posts).
I also find that many cables go to "sleep" - USB power saving - and only wake up again after sending key presses which is very irritating, but if the output suddenly stops for no obvious reason that's usually the cause and pressing enter will wake it up again.
