Upgrading ME Access Points

Hi all,

I'm having issues upgrading 1852e to ME 8.10.

I was able to upgrade from 8.3 to 8.5 with no facing issues, but when i try 8.10 upgrade it says that that "AP is already on ME"

This issue is also seen on 2802e on a customer mine.

In 2802e it also says that "osapiFsWriteNoClose Failed, nbytes: 147,num:-1, errstr:No space left on device"

The command that im using is: ap-type mobility-express tftp://<ip tftp>/XXXXX.tar.

Any reason for this?

Hi all,

Thank you for your support in advance.

Yes the way the i was able to resolve it was upload the Lightweight AP Software ( archive download-sw /reload  ).

After that the upgrade do ME was direct to 8.10.151.0 ( ap-type mobility-express tftp:// )

Just awesome.

Thanks

This happened to me before and finally I found a procedure that sent to TAC:

  1. First you need to downgrade to 8.5.161 using TFTP and pointing to uncompressed ZIP folder (It fails to downgrade using GUI with HTTP transfer pointing to ZIP file)
  2. Upgrade to 8.10.142 using TFTP and pointing to uncompressed ZIP folder from CLI or GUI

Hi,

Try update to 8.8 version and then to 8.10.

1. archive download-sw /reload tftp://[IP]/ap1g4-k9w8-tar.153-3.JPK1.tar

then

ap-type mobility-express tftp://tftp IP/version 8.10.tar

Regards
