No matter if it's wireless or wired, the first place you should look is the core. You can then work your way downstream to see when a device Mac is found.  I would also assume that the switch the controller is connected to would be your last device you would look for an arp or Mac entry.

If AP is in local mode client MAC should not appear in SW that AP is connected to.
The client traffic will be encapsulated in CAPWAP and appear on switch which WLC is connected to.

Ok' how we can config AP to local switching using wlc 5520?

Same as any other - change the AP to Flexconnect mode and then configure the WLAN (SSID) for flex local switching.  The AP switchport should be configured for the vlan the locally switched WLAN uses.

Hello Freind

Thanks for ur time to reply

could y pls simulate the Traffic  Flow

Thanks

client <-> AP <-> CAPWAP tunnel <-> WLC <-> switch

Hi My Freind

why from the technical prospective we can;t see ARP on the Access SW where the AP is connected ! is it becoz of CAPWAP Tunnel?

thanks

Correct if the AP is in Local mode with central switching WLAN then the client layer 2 traffic is never exposed on the access switch where the AP is connected.  The 802.11 frames are bridged to LAN on the WLC.
