Hi,
as the subjects states I would like to use the abovementioned AP as a test AP for wireless surveys. I want to do this without the need for using a switch to stop the unit rebooting.
I believe that I need to enable thick mode? or would that be Autonomous mode - which would require me to change from LWAPP - IOS?
What is the best way for me to configure the AP so that it broadcasts the given SSID and not continually reboot?
Thanks in Advance
Jez

Could you please let me know the script for enabling Autonomous mode?
I followed your instructions here
https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2060925
But found that I got some errors on some of the lines below
Ap(config)#int fa 0
Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
Ap(config-if)ip address
AP44d3.cab0.7ad3(config)#no shut
Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
Thanks in advance

Surendra,
I now have my AP in autonomous mode.
We will be purchasing a few more but will be buying them ap AIR-AP's so that we don't have to re-image the AP's.
1 issue I now have after re-imaging from :
c1140-rcvk9w8-mx/c1140-rcvk9w8-mx
To:
1140-k9w7-mx.124-25d.JA/c1140-k9w7-mx.124-25d.JA
The CLI commands for setting IP - MASK etc have changed. I know I can use GUI after but I would like to document a process of how to from opening the box.
Appreciate your help?
Regards
Jez

It is important to remember to always do surveys with the same model of access point that will be deployed, if possible.

Thanks Thomas,
This is the exact same model we will be deploying on the project we are working on.
