Hello
I?m setting up maps in WCS 4.1.83.0. My organisation has many buildings of all shapes and sizes and I?m currently plotting obstacles on these maps. The obstacles available in the WCS Map Editor are:
Obstacle loss dB
Light Wall 2
Thick Wall 13
Heavy Door 15
Light Door 4
Cubicle 1
Glass 1.5
Should this loss characteristic read as dBm as opposed to dB. Also, we?re keen on getting the loss characteristics of our obstacles as close as possible to the real thing. I?m planning to use a Cisco 350 pcmcia card with the Cisco Site Survey tool. Has anyone had any experience in using this card for surveys. Our APs are 1130 and 1200 Aironet.
Thanks
Andy

Site survey can be done using the 350 series card. But this cannot be called as a complete site survey. You need to have all the equipments necessary for performing a complete site survey. For more information on site survey read the document available at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk722/tk809/technologies_q_and_a_item09186a00805e9a96.shtml
