Hi fellas,
I'm asking if someone can tell me on which Systems WEP encryption is still possible?
I'm running a 3504 WLC with mostly 2802 APs.
I heard that WEP encryption is disabled for wave 2 APs and not allowed since SW 8.8.111.0
How about 5520 and 9800 WLCs - do they also prohibit WEP encryption?
Can someone provide further information about this?
p.s.: yes i know WEP is more than deprecated but please tell that my customers ....

Regarding WEP "security", this is the oldest manual I found on how to crack a WEP wi-fi on an iPhone:
https://smartphones.gadgethacks.com/how-to/install-aircrack-your-iphone-299038/
This was released in 2010, so it's possible since > 10 years to crack WEP with an iPhone CPU. Since then the phones have become MASSIVELY faster, while WEP hasn't become more complicated.

Thanks for your lecture - I know that WEP is more than deprecated.
But I will send my customers to you so you can tell them they have to change 200+ mobile scanners which were working all the time.
